Each wall is carefully structured using archival materials, museum-grade printing, and solid wood framing, ensuring your photographs or art are not simply displayed, but composed with permanence and proportion.
WALL KITS
Your Walls Should Be Legacy, Not Decoration
Most photographs today live on phones, hard drives, or scattered frames. A legacy photo wall is different, it is created for the future.
At Wallux, every gallery wall design is guided by:
-
Proportion and visual rhythm
-
Consistent spacing and alignment
-
Balanced frame formats
-
Scale matched to furniture and sightlines
The result is a cohesive installation - not a random collage.

Every Legacy Wall Begins One of Two Ways

FROM YOUR EXISTING PHOTOGRAPHS
We work with families and collectors who have years of meaningful images. Our role is to curate, refine, and structure them into a cohesive wall composition that reflects narrative and continuity.
Who it suits:
• Homes with large photo archives
• Clients seeking refined presentation
• Spaces that require structure and clarity
Outcome:
A unified wall story - not a random collage.
FROM PORTRAIT TO LEGACY WALL
Some walls begin with a single portrait. Others begin with a moment worth preserving. Wallux works with families and photographers to transform meaningful portraits - whether newly created or existing - into fine art portrait walls designed to live across generations.
This approach focuses on tone, expression, scale, and print surface to ensure the wall carries emotional weight without visual clutter. We collaborate with photographers or create new commissioned works that are then developed into archival, large-format installations.

Design Philosophy
What makes a great photo wall?
A successful photo wall is not about quantity. It is about balance.
Our design philosophy is based on:
-
Proportion and visual rhythm
-
Consistent spacing and alignment
-
Balanced formats (grid, salon, triptych)
-
Scale tuned to furniture and sightlines
Each wall is designed specifically for its environment, ensuring it feels calm, resolved, and intentional within the space.
HAVE A QUESTIONS?
Photo wall FAQ
Q. How do I start designing a photo wall?
Send us your wall dimensions (width × height in feet or cm) and the number of images you want to include. We'll create a custom layout design showing exact frame positions, sizes, and spacing. You can share photos of your wall via WhatsApp or email, and we'll respond with a digital mockup within 48 hours — at no charge.
Q. What's the ideal spacing between frames?
We recommend 6-8cm (2.5-3 inches) spacing between frames for visual breathing room. This creates cohesion without the wall feeling cluttered. The spacing should remain consistent across the entire composition. For very large walls or commercial spaces, we may suggest slightly wider spacing (8-10cm) for better visual balance.
Q. How many different frame sizes should I use?
Stick to 2-3 different sizes maximum for a cohesive look. Too many sizes create visual chaos. We typically use a primary size (e.g., 16"×24"), a secondary size (e.g., 12"×18"), and occasionally an accent size (e.g., 8"×10") for smaller moments. All frames should use the same finish and mat treatment for unity.
Q. Should all frames be the same color?
Yes, consistent frame finish is critical for a professional photo wall. Choose one finish — matte black, matte white, oak, or walnut — and use it across all frames. Mixing frame colors fragments the composition and draws attention to the frames rather than the images. The only exception is intentional grid layouts where alternating finishes create a deliberate pattern.
Q. Can I mix portrait and landscape orientations?
Absolutely. Mixing orientations adds visual interest and helps fill irregular wall spaces. The key is arranging them in a balanced layout where the eye flows naturally across the wall. We align frames along invisible horizontal or vertical axes to maintain structure even when orientations vary. Avoid random placement — every frame position should feel intentional.
Q. How high should the photo wall be hung?
The center of the wall composition should be at eye level — approximately 145-150cm (57-60 inches) from the floor. For very tall walls or stairway installations, the bottom edge should start around 120cm from the floor. We provide positioning templates with every order showing exactly where to place each frame relative to your wall dimensions.
Q. Do I need to provide exact image placements?
No - we handle that. Send us your images and tell us if certain photos have special importance (e.g., wedding photo, family portrait). We'll arrange them considering color balance, subject matter, and visual flow. You'll see the proposed layout in the mockup and can request changes before production. Most clients approve the first layout we send.
Q. What if I want to add more frames later?
Our curated wall kits are designed for future expansion. When designing your initial layout, we can intentionally leave space for 1-2 additional frames. As long as you stick to the same frame finish and mat treatment, new frames will integrate seamlessly. We keep your original specifications on file for easy reordering.
Q. What's the turnaround time for a photo wall?
After you approve the mockup and provide final images: 10-14 working days for production and delivery anywhere in India. Each frame is individually printed, mounted, and inspected before shipping. Larger walls (12+ frames) may take 14-18 days. We ship everything together with installation templates, hanging hardware, and positioning guides.
Q. Do you offer installation services?
We offer full installation services through urban company. In-case thats not possible, we provide detailed installation templates, positioning labels, and pre-installed hanging hardware. Most clients find our templates easy to follow. If you prefer professional installation in other cities, we can recommend local partners who understand our specifications.
